Once a stuffed animal is dried fluff up the fur gently with a brush.
Grab a hair brush that you are no longer using and start to give your plush a good brushing.
One possibility is to trace the seams of the entire damaged piece and rip them to remove the piece.
Then simply sew the new fur in place with a proper colored thread.
As you continue you will start to see how much fur get collected in the brush.
Then use the piece for a template to cut the new fur into the needed shape.
Do not pull too hard or it will tear some of the fur from the animal.
A regular hairbrush can be used but it should have soft widespread bristles.
Make sure to brush in the natural intended direction of the fur and use tape to get out any debris from matted areas.
You have your piece of fake fur ready.
